Don’t wish this on anyone. I hope he’s okay.

He must have just listened to Zell Miller’s speech. ;)

Wish the best for Bill Clinton.

I never liked Clinton but hope that he makes it through ok

I never liked, nor voted for Billy Jeff (among other things, he reminded me too well of an ex-boyfriend), even as I appreciated his consummate skill as a politician.

However, I wish him well and a speedy recovery.

Wow, If they had to do a bypass it must be fairly serious. He’s too young for that, damn. Get well Bill.

My local news said it was quadruple bypass.

Let me be the first to question the timing of this diagnosis and surgery. Clearly a Big Pharm-backed cabal of neocon Halliburton heart surgeons are behind this diagnosis, cooked up in Texas, merely to justify unnecessary surgery to disable the great man just when his help is most needed by the Kerry campaign, currently being pummeled by Rethuglican hatemongers!

But, all kidding aside, I do hope all goes well for Clinton here.

I didn’t care for the man as a President, but I would never, ever, wish anything bad on him. That last thing in the world I want to see is our country lose two presidents in one year. God bless, Mr. President. I hope all goes well.

Actually these bypass operations are becoming pretty routine. They’ve done them by the thousands and while it’s very safe it is complex and any surgery has risks.

Years ago, my Uncle had similar bypass surgery when he was in his 60’s. He recovered fully and went on to live another 27 active, happy years.

I, too, did not support President Clinton or his policies. But my good wishes and prayers are with him for a full and speedy recovery.

I wish Bill speedy recovery, but what does it have to do with an election?

-v Well it will be interesting to see the candidates possibly try to move into the moonlight of this (hospital visity by kerry).

Kudos on all the bipartisan good wishes for WJC!

Get well Bill!

Our prayers are with you Mr. President.

My Dad died having bypass surgery with one of the best medical teams around - things can go wrong, so while routine, every person is different.

Let’s all keep him in our prayers and thoughts.

I don’t agree with his politics, but I have great respect for the American Presidency and our current and past presidents.

If it had to happen, I am happy he was not traveling abroad, as it could have been considerably more dangerous.

He’s too young for this, but at least he’s catching it early and can do something about it. I wish him the best of luck and health.

Some, on the other hand, appear to be willing to play this event for partisan advantage. Disgusting, but not surprising.

I never voted for Bill Clinton—had I been old enough in 1992 I certainly would have, and I voted Dole in 1996, having learned some things since then.

Regardless, if we HAD to have a Democrat President, we could have done far worse than Bill Clinton, and in fact there have been times when we have…

so I hope he gets through his surgery all right.

Right on, Gabe , you non-metric pigeon. I echo your kind thoughts.

My best to Bubba.

May you live to see many more Quarter Pounders with cheese delivered to your desk by lovely interns.

I was never a fan while he was in office. But put him next to Kerry, and my god, I actually find I like the old S.O.B. . . .

:-)
