Ward Brehm:

As the November election nears, a rising level of toxicity and personal animosity has infected our nation’s political discourse more than ever. Sharp differences are nothing new in politics. But disagreements once born of differing means to achieve a common end — what was best for America — have given way to entrenched ideological divisions. Still worse, things have gotten personal.
