New York | Suggest questions for the RNC bloggers!
If you were going to the RNC, what questions would you ask of the delegates, politicians, locals, and those working at the convention? Please post your questions or suggested coverage below. Posted by Lonewacko at August 24, 2004 01:59 AM | TrackBack Comments
Is there any intention of further campaign finance reform, or changes to the McCain-Feingold finance reform bill? In the wake of all the 527 wackiness weve seen this election cycle, I can’t help but be curious. Posted by: HullBreach When are we going into Syria to get Saddam’s WMDs? How long are we going to let Iran procede toward producing nuclear weapons? Posted by: John Davies What have you learned from Alcohol Prohibition? Posted by: M. Simon What impact would stronger majorities in congress have on local issues and elections? Posted by: skip At what point is somebody going to actually fight for Bush’s judicial appointments and make the Democrats pay for their unconstitutional filibuster? Posted by: TL Don’t ask them anything at all. Just let them run their convention and get it over with. Then we can get down to Serious Politics. Posted by: Don I’d like to see a running commentary on how delegates answer this question— What is the American Dream? I’d also like to see you ask any elected official you bump into, as many of these questions as they’ll answer: What is the Republican Party’s plan for helping the one in four full-time American workers who now earns wages that put them below the federally established poverty line? What is your appraisal of the energy situation today and do you think Republicans doing everything they can to address it? Please list up to five federal programs President Bush will (or you would) to cut to save the American people $50 billion a year in the first year of his new Presidency (the next Congress). Please explain again why we are so adamant about not signing an international treaty granting jurisdiction over the United States to an International Court of Law with regards to actions we take in the world beyond our own sovereign borders?
