Boston | Shawshank Flashback
The pre-acceptance speech video is now playing, which if I understand correctly was “supervised” by Steven Spielberg. It’s narrated by Morgan Freeman, though, and as the opening sequence rolled and Freeman’s voice filled the hall I thought for a moment: “Huh. I didn’t know Kerry was in Shawshank …”

I don’t know if you’ve seen Jay Pinkerton’s News Skim Comics over at Pointlesswasteoftime.com, but he has Morgan Freeman replacing both Kerry and Bush as a candidate because he can make anything sound good. I was laughing out loud when I recognized the voice.
That being said, the film was excellent — superbly done.
Much better, unfortunately, than the live Kerry.
