Edwards | The Money Shot

The image of Edwards on stage, after the speech, with his youngest daughter in his arms … that’s on the cover of every paper in America tomorrow morning.

I’m assuming, of course, the child was born by C section because of her daddies lawsuits. 40% of births in North Carolina are now c-sections and dangerous because of that man. And the incidence of cerebral palsy has not changed. So much for the junk science and the slimy trial lawyers. America WAKE UP…..slime balls want your country…they profess they are poor, yet they are among the richest! They choose to say there are two americas…in their opinion there is. The poor and the rich….saying nothing of course about the 66% of American’s who own their own homes.

Well, he represents 2 Americas, the poor and the get rich quick by sueing a doctor! Is there any wonder that he has appeal to the core of the Democratic Party?

Dickmr, “saying nothing of course about the 66% of American’s who own their own homes.”

That leaves 33%

Symptomless,

After Bush pushed his home owner numbers, NPR had a bi piece on how home ownership is not for everyone. Feel better.

Anyway, there will always be have nots, deal with it. The folks who want to try will move up.

There are always haves and havenots, there are always people who want to better themselves. Its up to the GOVT to give them the OPPORTUNITY to do so.

I think that was the point being made by Edwards.

I get the impression that the Democrats have a better record on that issue.

Be gentle, I’m fairly new to US party politics.

Symptomless,

OK, I will be nice…

I can sum it up rather concisely: The Democrats believe in entitlement; Republicans believe in empowerment!

Let me further explain…You are semi-correct, it is up to the government to ensure that everyone has an EQUAL “opportunity”, however that would be the opportunity to succeed OR to fail! As long as the playing field is equal, then that is where the responsibility STOPS!

NO ONE is “ENTITLED” to anything. It becomes, just like so many OTHER issues, PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY/ACCOUNTABILITY which is a concept TOTALLY lost on the left. It is EASY to “create jobs” by creating MORE government agency/bureaucracy (ala Clintonian Job Growth) which is little more than welfare, except rather than showing up once a month they have to show up every day.
