Boston | Gore Convention Speech Being Rewritten
According to NBC News correspondent Andrea Mitchell, the DNC speech vetting process has had its first “casualty:” Al Gore. … [T]he word is out: the liberal wing of the party is being told to avoid any harsh rhetoric. That could already be affecting tonight’s headliners: last night, Al Gore’s speech was basically torn up, according to two sources, and is now being rewritten, presumably to fit more closely with the party line. The world will change in that with blogging ‘turned on’ editing the voice of the people will be a moot point. Posted by: John Furrier Do we really think that Gore will listen to Kerry’s campaign staff, or all the voices inside his head when he gets up to speak? Posted by: DWC Darn! Coulter released her spiked column too soon. She anticipated Gore’s speech and lampooned it. Trouble is they’ll tone it down now. Now let’s see will Michael Moore be any less caustic about the Republicans than Coulter about the Democrats. Bet his column don’t get spiked. Posted by: Limpet Please remind me, who is Al Gore? Posted by: Dog Gore? Gore? Wasn’t he a reporter once? Does he still have the beard? The Ann Coulter column too hot to handle is posted with USA Today’s markups at the Human Events website. Apparently they couldn’t understand her humor. Repeatedly they say “I don’t get it.” Posted by: Limpet Post a comment
