Kerry | Kerry Returns Second Donor Check
AP: Kerry Returns Second Donor Check John Kerry’s presidential campaign has returned a second $2,000 donation because of uneasiness about its source, and a fund-raiser who solicited both checks among Korean-Americans has resigned. Precisely what should have happened. Now, what’s the Problem here? Is it that the check came in at all, or that the campaign did the Right Thing by returning it? Posted by: Don at July 3, 2004 10:17 AM No problem at all Don. What’s your problem? Chads Posted by: chads at July 3, 2004 10:26 AM Just checking, Chads. Your side of the political spectrum seems to get all het up when Kerry breathes. But if you see no problem with this action, we can all be relieved, and ignore the story entirely. Seems fair to me. Posted by: Don at July 3, 2004 10:46 AM My side of the political spectrum is concerned that Kerry is nonchalant about democracy and opposed to pro-liberty, pro-democracy dissidents in Cuba. For people on MY side, a President has to support liberal democracy as an organizing principle of societies. Kerry has already disavowed it. MG Posted by: MG at July 3, 2004 01:33 PM Yeah, isn’t it funny that they are named Democrats, but they disavow democracy every chance they get!? The way I figure, the next time old Teddy starts a rant, he’s ready for the big one; especially if he just had his 8th martini. Posted by: dickd at July 3, 2004 01:48 PM Kerry taking money from foreign entities as Gore and Clinton did (as usual). What else or who else have the Democrats sold out? Posted by: leaddog2 at July 4, 2004 11:07 AM Well, it’s good he gave the check back. I’m not one to assume that checks from foreign parties are automatically a bad thing, but this one seemed a little tainted. Good for Kerry. Didn’t know he had any class at all.
