Kerry | Clinton Explores How To Use Book Tour To Aid Kerry

The NY Times also reports that:

As former President Bill Clinton prepares for a barrage of publicity and a cross-country tour to promote his memoirs, his political advisers are consulting with the Democratic Party and Senator John Kerry’s campaign about ways that Mr. Clinton can lend a political hand in the process.

What a challenge. How does he say ‘back this loser now so my wife is in better position to run next time’ so it comes out sounding like something else entirely? Though I will say, he is the man for the job…

I think his best strategy is to pretend he will have an honourable funeral as reagan did, and to act as if everything is Ok. Kerry must be very uncertain he wants anything to do with Bill Jefferson in light of Grey Davis et al demise.

I’ve been thinking that Clinton is probably Bush’s best friend at this point. Neither want to see Kerry in the White House and Republicans are more than willing to wait until ‘08 to deal with a potential presidential run by Hillary. Sound far fetched? Even Stalin was our ally in WWII.

I still can’t even figure out how Kerry got nominated. Some things about the political process are just a mystery.

What I wait to see is how Clinton explains Somalia and Rwanda. I dont get why all the tree huggers who hate the WHO and IMF etc have nothing to say about the UN and the Clinton administration.

The content of the book will be excuses for every thing. It is likely to be a bore. However it will spark seminars and an excuse to speak to crowds.

Supporting Kerry is Clinton’s only move if he wants to make a buck. People want to hear the hate and Clinton will dish it out to sell his book.

The thing is that having been president Clinton and suprisingly his wife have a conservative view of events in Afghanistan and Iraq. Having been in the position of making similar decisons Clinton has spoken of his regrets.

He has even suggested that he put conserns about “wag-the-dog” critisism above taking action to prevent genocide and even the protection of Americans.

In the end critical analysis of Clinton will compare him to Carter. The 911 Commission report will paint a picture, but it will be years before the whole story is put together.

If you want to get the picture watch the PBS special about Rwanda. This will tell you everything you need to know about Clinton.

“Supporting Kerry is Clinton’s only move if he wants to make a buck. “
THATS EXACTLY IT!— Follow the money — he might get a book/60 minutes deal out of it like all the rest of the down-and-outer crowd —- as long as he plays into their Anti-Bush agenda. Problem is, the DFL has been swerving ever farther to the left and nobodys really out there like Johnny Boy. I predict he will be a conservative once in office, though. Tomorrow you shall call him “Comrade”

“In the end critical analysis of Clinton will compare him to Carter”

People really need to understand to what degree President Carter was a failure at foreign policy. It was embarassing to see the Clintons at the funeral, realizing Bill will be added to this list.

Come on - there are alot of us who will never forget what happened in the 2000 election. We all know who really won and Clinton’s book tour will only remind us that Kerry is alot Better than the one in the White House. Like Father like Son!
