| Unity Among Democrats

Posted this on the wrong page earlier. Apologies.

CBS News reports that in addition to record spending and intensity, this year’s campaign may also have something else: an “unheard of” levels of unity and cooperation among Democrats.

What a load of rally-the-party crap!

The Democrats are always cooperating and unified behind their candidate because they think winning and maintaining power is the most important thing. They stuck with Clinton in spite of how he treated most liberal interest groups and his “treatment” of women because confronting him might have meant losing.

How did they end up with Senator Windsock as their candidate? Because he was ELECTABLE, not because of anything he actually believes or positions he might have. Actually, when you think about it, Kerry’s perfect for the Democrats because he really doesn’t believe in anything (other than his superiority to others) or have any discernable position on anything, unless you consider straddling the fence on every issue having a position.

BTW, pilot whales are usually quite unified when hit the beach.

I had to go renew my driver’s license last week. There was a checkbox about changing voting registration information. I almost re-registered as a Republican, but managed to resist the temptation. Repeatedly changing registration is bad form. But lord knows, the politicians don’t make it easy…

Some days, I feel like I have a big Democrat clown nose affixed to my face.
