Kerry | Cautious Best For Kerry?

The New York Times reports on growing debate in the Democratic party over the best way—cautious or aggressive—to take advantage of what is percieved to be growing vulnerability in the Bush camp.

The Bush camp seems to have adopted an interesting tactic.

They let the left vent for weeks on end, then give a few responses in a very “matter of fact” way.

Sort of a political Rope-a-Dope.

what2,

I am sorry (Ha!) to tell you this, but the election is on November 2nd, 2004, NOT today.

Bush MAY POSSIBLY lose because of bad news from Iraq, but today’s al-Sadr surrender is a step in the positive direction.

Who can predict what else the next 5 months will bring?

I don’t know If I buy Election Projection. Some of his projected blues states are not backed up by polls. Take Arizonia for example. he has it as light blue but recent polling suggests that Bush is up by over 5 points. go figure

What2 is liberal daydreaming. Leaddog2 is right, the election is a long time away. Those with common sense will rise to the occasion to stop the scurriolous left. Look at the positions the democrats are close to and try to decide if the majority is actually in unison with that….I say they are not. As Kerry tries to move himself to the center, he will stumble, because it is not his normal position. He is in peril of really making a fool out of himself as he changes his positions. As much as they demonize Karl Rove and friends, eric has spotted what is happening here. Rope - a - dope is a good description. They are drawing Kerry into a position where he will create his own destruction, and Kerry knows it. Thats why he is so careful and quiet, and why he only blows pre-written words out of his mouth. The Republicans were hoping he would push the ‘acceptance’ issue, but although he dodged a bullet he is wounded from the stOOpidity of the idea. He even got Teddy the Mary Jo killer upset. Did you hear that Micheal Moore wants Teddy to star in his next fictional epic ‘Fat Bastard!’
Yeah, he has a bout of Sado/Maso with a horned up
senile Senator Byrd…what fun!!

You know, Byrd is senile. At the age of 85, he will be gone soon. America will then be much safer (and less GRAFT and PORK will go to West Virginia). Praise the Lord!
