Kerry | Call On The Delay This Week?
More today from WaPo on Kerry possibly delaying his acceptance of the nomination so he can raise more money, reporting that his campaign hopes to make a decision about doing so sometime this week.
They also report some Democrats fear doing so could “disrupt the party’s national convention and hand Republicans a public relations bonanza.” Of note, George McGovern agrees.

I’ve seen some pretty out-there conspiracy theories about this: my personal favorite is the Wonkette idea that attention to Kerry actually costs him so the strategery is to make Kerry this year’s stealth candidate.
Maybe Kerry should change his name to “Not Bush”. John F. NotBush. Because that’s really all he’s got. he’s NotBush.
Traditionally people dont vote for the challenger so much as against the incumbent.
It seems clear that Kerry is simply playing it safe.
