Kerry | Kerry/McCain: The Story That Will Not Die

It has legs, that’s for certain. Here’s the latest step down the path, this time from Joe Biden and Reuters (via Yahoo!):

Sen. Joseph Biden, a senior Democrat, on Sunday urged Republican Sen. John McCain to run for vice president with the Democratic hopeful, Sen. John Kerry, in order to heal the “vicious rift” dividing America.

McCain, of Arizona, “categorically” ruled out standing with Kerry, but Biden, the top Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said he had no second choice.

“I’m sticking with McCain,” Biden said.

Since he is a former POW, I will never insult or disparage John McCain’s military service. (But his political actions are different).

In Boston and all over Massachusetts, all of the reporters call John Kerry “Live Shot”. That is his nickname because of his enormous (and totally unwarranted) ego. He does a continuous scramble to assure all of us that his puny self-worth is NOT the real Hanoi John.

In Washington, “Live Shot” Kerry and all of the other (533) Senators and Congressmen are steam-rollered by the “Galaxay size ego” of John McCain.

So far in 2004, there has NOT YET been a subject that John McCain was NOT WILLING to flap his mouth on. Unfortunately for him, he is the prime example of NOT enagaging the brain before the mouth is put in gear.

John Kerry will NEVER allow McCain on his ticket. They would literally kill each other in running to and preening for the TV Cameras.

Aside from the “Uniter” theme, what would McCain bring to the table? Kerry would still be in control of policy and message. It seems to be a figment born of the democrat’s belief that republicans are secretly yearning to be free of the shadowy “neocons” and will rush to any seemingly brave new leader who gives them an out. They really need to stop believing their own hype.

Laughing at leaddog2

Tsu-nami.

Is that a Positive or Negative laugh? Either way, I am having fun. Ha! (I also have a thick skin, so it’s also O.K. if it is negative).

leaddog2: If he’s anything like me, it’s a positive laugh. Just the thought of Kerry and McCain fighting each other for camera time in live TV brings a smile to my face.

Thank you! Humor always helps. However, that is also a VERY TRUE statement based on observation.

Neither “Live Shot” Kerry or McCain have EVER seen a camera that they did not run madly toward to be photographed, etc.

I have often wondered why? In my opinion, they are physically ugly. (Kerry is the worst).

Good find Anthony! You’d never know that from the mainstream press. Keep it up!

As for this Kerry/McCain b.s., can’t we all just recognize this as the transparent attempt that it is to change the subject from Kerry’s campaign boss (Ted Kennedy) equating the U.S. with Saddam’s regime and make the senator with the most liberal voting record and a war record that isn’t withstanding real scrutiny appear to be more of a centrist than he really is? Oohh, Joe Biden brought it up. Who gives a rat’s ass? When’s the last time Biden was right about ANYTHING? It’s all just a ploy to change the subject and keep people from focusing on what a worthless fop Senator Windsock really is. Let’s move on to something worthwhile.

Notice that Anthony Ain’t openly supporting Senator Liar, either. Rather, methinks he’s one of those “AnybodybutBush” Liberal Lefties who would condemn the Administration for lying publicly (which has not been proven) and condone lying under oath by Senator Kerry (which has been proven). Sortofa FLip-Flopper you might say.

Medically, K-McC pairing is kinda interesting. Both have had cancer. Remember Tsongas? McCain’s outlook is not good, after surgery for recurrent melanoma. That’s why you rarely see the left side of his face.

Posted by: TomTom at May 18, 2004 10:30 AM

TomTom, you are right…..I caught a glimpse of his left face the other day on a news shot of him going into an office at the capitol. That looked kinda bad to me.
Leaddog’s observance was right on. I laughed too, and it was a positive laugh, at an idea that struck my funny bone. I can just see the both of them together….combing the hair, touching their chin, long drawn out sentences, powerful rhetoric, and then an ending showing their soft side….
I think McCain is one of those there RINO’s… ha ha

As long as we are laughing, i have a real dark horse VP for you.
Colin Powell.
Think about it. He is Bush’s #1 opponent right now. State is out of Control and running it’s own foriegn policy, one designed to discredit Bush as much as possible. At State Bush is considered a loose cannon. It would give Kerry a huge boost in the polls if Powell resigned. Kerry could pay him off with the VP slot. The DU_LL crowd considers him the only Cabinet member worth having and would consider it a coup to snag him away from Bush. Plus I think his postive rating is higher then Bush and Kerry combined. When you are done laughing, think about it. From the Donks POV, you get maximum damge AND maximum benifit with the same stroke. It’s just a question of does Powell want the job. It would be a demotion, politically.

Posted by: ableiter at May 21, 2004 07:12 PM

It would also indellibly label Powell as a disloyal traitor in a very public way. Powell’s got too much pride and class for that.

Posted by: TL at May 21, 2004 07:38 PM

Following this logic Bush himself must be the ultimate “disloyal traitor”, if you had assumed that he really was speaking truthfully when he made all his campaign promises, like “no more nation building”, etc.

I doubt Kerry would select Powell, as he has proved himself completely ineffectual.

But you really have to give the Bushophiles credit, they have convincingly mastered the art of self-delusion.
