Sharpton | FEC to Sharpton: Return $100,000

CNN: FEC to Sharpton: Return $100,000

Federal officials on Thursday ordered Democratic presidential candidate Al Sharpton to repay the $100,000 in public matching funds that he received this year for his White House bid.

The six-member Federal Election Commission decided unanimously to take action against Sharpton and his presidential campaign committee after an investigation determined that he had exceeded a $50,000 limit that candidates may spend on their own campaigns.

But Sharpton’s campaign disputed the ruling.

“We expected this. They’ve been under pressure from these right-wing hate groups for months now,” said Sharpton campaign manager Charles Halloran. “We planned all along to appeal this decision and have met extensively with counsel. The statutes are clear and convincing about the reverend’s donations to his own campaign, and we’ve followed them to the strict letter of the law.”

Halloran also said the campaign was considering legal action against the commission.

Sounds like premeditation to me…

Who are these right wing hate groups?

All the hate I see these days comes from the left wing groups.

Atlantic Monthly ran a sidebox a couple issues back on how much each candidate spent on hotel rooms, and by far the most expensive was Sharpton. Turns out he & his entourage always stayed at Four Season hotels (that’s four-star-plus level), while Bush, Kerry, etc. usually stayed at Hiltons and such.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Sharpton saw the presidential campaign as a good opportunity to live high on the hog for a while on taxpayer money. That’d also explain why he’s refused to let the campaign end, since that would mean an end to the gravy train as well.

I eagerly await the press conference where Sharpton sits in with the little girl who was horribly raped by FEC officials.

Feel the pain, share the hate, play the card, bait the supporters.

For most, it’s all that’s ever expected of him. And he always delivers.

Nobody expected a democrat to… you know be honest and NOT lie, did we?

NAAAAA! it’s just not a democrat quality, which is why they figured kerry was a good liar that is believable… NOT!!!

Kerry was such a good liar that he even fooled the other liars, but now that they know his whole life is a lie, they are thinking of dropping Kerry and tossing in the old hag at the last moment.

Hillary for pres! LoL! the pol said 70% of democrats support this move.

Amazing
