Bush | Poll: Bush Leads 46-40 in Pennsylvania

Encouraging news for President Bush’s campaign, as the latest poll (conducted March 25-29) shows him leading John Kerry 46-40 among Pennsylvania voters, with 3 percent supporting Ralph Nader and 12 percent undecided. The prior poll, taken in February (during the Democratic primaries and prior to Bush’s TV advertising blitz in the battleground states, including 21-elector Pennsylvania) also showed Bush with 46% support, but had Kerry at 47%, indicating that the main movement in the intervening time was caused by voters thinking twice about Kerry, perhaps as a result of the Bush TV ads.

Washington, DC - Speaking before the National Association of Economists yesterday, Senator John Kerry, Democrat candidate for President, presented his plan for the economic revitalization of the United States.

“President Bush has devastated the economy of the United States by emphasizing discredited ideas such as economic growth, productivity, and entrepreneurship,” said Senator Kerry. “We all know that the only way to stimulate the economy is to have people marry rich widows.”

In a statement released by the Kerry campaign, the Senator says that if elected he will eliminate the Commerce, Labor and Treasury Departments as well as the Federal reserve, and will replace them with a Department of Hooking Up which will be in charge of pairing up sexually active unemployed American men with rich widows from throughout the world.

In related news, the Kerry campaign has come out in favor of gay marriage, but only as long as one of the partners is extremely wealthy.

One thing to note on this poll is that the distribution of voters from the predominantly pro-Bush central portion of the state is somewhat over-represented here.

That is, while the Central counties were responsible for 25% of the voters in 2000, they represent 30% of those polled here. If you use the 2000 voting proportions and apply it here, you get a result of 44-41, Bush — still not good news for Kerry, but not as dire, either.

I think I’ll send the Kerry campaign some flowers and a card.

or pole.

You may be true on both accounts. Nethertheless; “a very short poll can lead to an ultimate victory”.

Hey folks, it’s April. I think there’s going to be a lot more water under the bridge between here and 11/2. I can’t get excited about 4 point swings.

But I do like Fat Guy’s idea of hooking up with rich babes who’ll smother us in mansions and snow boards. I mean, let’s face it, the rich in this country have earned their money and Kerry not only went out once and scored, he went out TWICE. If that’s not hard work, I don’t know what is.

I’ve loved him ever since The Munsters.
