Kerry | Sharpton Endorses Kerry

The Associated Press reports that Sharpton endorsed Kerry, but promised to continue his own “urban agenda campaign:”

“It would be misleading and futile to campaign for the nomination, but it continues for the platform and direction of the party,” Sharpton told The Associated Press in a telephone interview. “My campaign continues now to pick up delegates so that we can go to the convention to coalesce with other delegates.”

[. . .]

In welcoming the endorsement, Kerry praised Sharpton’s “ability to cut through the double-talk we see coming from this administration,” and pledged to work for Sharpton’s oft-stated goal of a new “urban agenda.”

Hmmm.
If I wasn’t a 100% GWB man but rather one of those misguided dems or libs and I had planned to vote for Kerry, Sharpton’s endorsement of the guy would have been the deciding factor in NOT voting for Kerry.

Oh, well, then I’ll vote for him for sure :)

Future of America under “presidunce” Kerry

All one had to do was peer out the window, as the President was doing, to confirm the harsh reality. The Washington Monument stood wounded, half toppled, the victim of yet another terrorist event. The once proud obelisk was now an unmistakable symbol of America’s impotence.
Airplanes had come down, offices had been bombed, fuel depots attacked, power grids sabotaged, and anthrax was sent through the mail. Sites both strategic and symbolic had been pummeled. Predictably, metropolitan water supplies had been contaminated. Suicide bombers and murderous snipers, common for years in Israel, were now blasting the nation. There was no denying it: the United States was vulnerable.

Paralyzed by the confusion between racial profiling and common sense, America allowed the death merchants to operate with impunity.
Business, the engine of the nation’s industrial might, had shriveled under the onslaught. The markets were deflated. Travel was hit hard and consumer spending was anemic. Threats of an oil embargo had caused gas prices to rise. The terrorists had won the first round.
The American public had no clue why they were being attacked. And this was the biggest problem of all.

The populace, accustomed to being coddled, had learned that they could vote themselves a “raise”, and they had. America had begun a decline into an abyss littered with the Industrial carcasses and decaying civilizations.
The left side of the aisle had virtually eliminated federal taxation on the preponderance of their supporters. At the same time, they had increased the burden on the most successful Americans, recognizing that they represented a smaller, and thus less significant, voting bloc. The party called it “paying their fair share.” It sounded reasonable at first blush, but in reality it was just a modern-day version of Robin Hood: stealing from those they deemed rich and giving the plunder to those more numerous voters they deemed poor. The result, a hasty exodus of wealth out of the country, beyond the grip of socialist Kerry policy. The plan took money earmarked for the national defense and reallocated it to Presidunce Kerry’s constituents, rewarding them for their support.
To keep our planes in the sky, They had to scavenge parts from other birds. If it weren’t for duct tape, the B-52s would have disintegrated. The Army struggled to field five Army divisions. Kerry even shortchanged technology development, and it was quickly falling behind.
With a divided Congress, a downward spiraling economy, and the constant smokescreen of political maneuvering, America no longer knew if it was coming or going. Military readiness programs were started, cut off, reinstated, diminished, and then convoluted to the point the nation was equipping its soldiers with million-dollar coffins.

America had gone from an active fleet of six hundred ships to less than half that. Our merchant marine flotilla was mothballed. It took us five months to ready ourselves to fight Iraq in ‘90 and even longer in 2003. To move an equivalent amount of men and material today, we would need a very patient enemy.
America could no longer defend it’s self, never mind deploy to put down the terrorist driven regime take overs raging through Europe like wild fires. The Man in charge had made it clear that the military was no longer a priority. Kerry’s campaign had promised a new paradigm in which political solutions, not guns or bombs, would shape America’s future. No one realzed what that shape would be, nor did they expect such a rapid transition. The terrorists were winning.
Terrorists, most of them sons of Ishmael, all of them Islamic, were zealous crusaders for Islam and Muhammad and had consumed his presiduncy, and the nation is not far behind…
The Islamic Prison Ministry had quietly “recruited” some five percent of the nation’s 2,000,000 incarcerated felons, mostly African Americans and Hispanics, to do some of their dirty work. Disgruntled and angry, convicts had found Islam appealing……

So what do you think so far?
And no, it’s not fear mongering, before you democrats start whining,
it’s an obituary I’m writing for the future, for foriegn papers….

Posted by: Halbert Hailey at March 15, 2004 09:48 PM

Well, once the terrorists have their men in office, everything will be cool…….as long as they’re getting paid…enough…..and have enough power to satisfy themselves……..but then there is this Koran issue…..dang it, they’ve got to kill us, and it’s really not their fault! You know, they’ve got that freedom of religion thing……..and Pass has his freedom of speech thing………and I’ve got this 2×4 upside their head thing….

Posted by: Jeff B at March 15, 2004 11:12 PM

The only reason I’m gonna vote, is to offset Pass’s.

Posted by: Jeff B at March 15, 2004 11:14 PM

From what I read of this Passer of gasses,
he freedom of speaking would not get him very far in a sharia court. It would be interesting to hear what he says as he begs for his miserable life however.
I wonder if he might not indeed take his own if the fiction above comes to pass? Surely, all he has argued here represents his entire belief, his life, so the fall of the USA, would be proof alone that he stands for nothing, therefore has no purpose to live.

Posted by: Fat Guy at March 16, 2004 01:59 AM

Yah but he’s fightin’ that Pre-destined thingy. What does PasserLeGaz have to do with Al Sharptongue the Bigot and the POW-MIA Anti-hero? I know there must be joke in there somewhere.

Posted by: Cap'n DOC at March 16, 2004 08:21 AM

Well, considering Sharpton is funded and kept in the race by Republican politico’s casting him as a spoiler, this certainly is good news. Must have been one of Al’s more lucid moments.

Did anyone notice the abject spinning Safire has been indulging in (even meriting him a quote on georgewbush.com)?

Safire: Only later, as the rest of the Kerry condemnation sunk in, did I wonder: Was it wise for a candidate for president to characterize Republicans — tens of millions of American voters, including even veterans — as thieves and liars?

The trick: first misrepresent your opponents words, and then feign indignation at them. Kerry never called anyone a “thief”. Safire must have decided this word would inspire greater indignation then the words that wereactually used. And Kerry never characterized “republicans” as anything.

He used the term “These guys”, which I took to mean Karl Rove and his henchmen. Of course, anyone is free to interprete what was said in his or her own way, but to turn it into “republicans — tens of millions of American voters, including even veterans” seems a stretch.

Getting a little jumpy there, Mr. Safire?

Getting a little jumpy there, Mr. Voice of NO Reason?

Posted by: Cap'n DOC at March 16, 2004 10:21 AM

BTW - Voiceless I think the operative word used by the Dishonourable Senator Kerry was “CROOKS”. At least that’s what my ears tell me. ‘PotThief’ meet ‘KettleCrook’. ‘KettleCrook’ meet ‘PotThief’. Get the picture?

Posted by: Cap'n DOC at March 16, 2004 10:28 AM

OK, let’s put this in even simpler terms for Cap’n DOC:

Kerry didn’t say “tens of millions republicans” (including veterans, mind you!) were thiefs.

He said:

“These guys are the most crooked, you know, lying group of people I’ve ever seen.”

If anything, Kerry could be accused of telling us something about Karl Rove and his gang most of us already know…

Posted by: Voice of Reason at March 16, 2004 11:14 AM

how can you accuse others of reading into that statement and then do it yourself, v.o.r.?

kerry didn’t say “karl rove and his gang”

its obvious he was talking about pirates and other assorted swashbucklers…

wafflestomper wrote: can you accuse others of reading into that statement and then do it yourself, v.o.r.?

It’s called “teaching by example”…

Posted by: Voice of Reason at March 16, 2004 12:18 PM

OK, seriously, I did explain in my first post on this subject:

He used the term “These guys”, which I took to mean Karl Rove and his henchmen. Of course, anyone is free to interprete what was said in his or her own way, but to turn it into “republicans — tens of millions of American voters, including even veterans” seems a stretch.

That post, however, contained way too much words for the likes of Cap’n DOC, so I had to simplify.

Posted by: Voice of Reason at March 16, 2004 12:26 PM

Voice of… It ain’t reason. Maybe it’s just that you’re listening to too many voices. Of course, I wasn’t the one that said Republicans, nor Veterans, but you must have been listening to some WhiteNoise if you think I slathered Kerry with callin’ me a crook on either count, Party or Service. BTW. I ain’t a Republican. I am a Veteran. So what? Fling away with the big words if you must. There ain’t many I can’t decipher. What I can’t do is read between the words. Don’t overindulge in WhiteSpace. It comes across as just so much Noise.

Posted by: Cap'n DOC at March 16, 2004 04:21 PM

It’s like watching ‘Bozo the Clown’ endorsing ‘Howdy Doody’! Can’t the DNC come up with any valid canidates other then these shuffle and jive oxygen thieves??? The only way you can if they’re telling the truth is if their lips aren’t moving.

Posted by: Larry at March 17, 2004 02:38 AM

Jezz! I’m jumping around here trying desperately to comment, but I keep passing by another that warrants comment as well.

CROOKS!!! These guys are CROOKS!

That one, caught my eye, even though I have an eye patch, and the eye it covers is blind as a bat in a snow Storm.

Does anyone see the hypocrisy in kerry calling anyone a crook?

I’ll give you a little nudge… who voted against immigrant labor registration?

Shall I mention “Mr. Pickle?” Does Teri have any influence in the big white house?
hmmm
there are “things” not mentioned yet, that will be mentioned, and dear senator Kerry, must answer his statements of interest regarding them.

Kerry should be very carefull when he calls people “crooks”.
Stealing peoples life and labor is still thievery, as far as I know.

I have some brand new flip flop of the day stuff kickin’ around here somewhere too, but, damn it! where did i put it….

thats what happens when you travel and post everywhere…

I’llb e back, but I’m busy so look for fat guy shit all over the net…

it’s my calling…

Posted by: Fat Guy at March 17, 2004 02:47 AM

And, if it isn’t for God, liberty, and President Bush, it isn’t my post!

Do we have video?

he also may have been looking over his shoulder at the press corp., or at a picture of the democrat leadership, or, maybe his wifes executive staff…

But, considering he is running against Republicans, and therefore the people who voted for them, I can be correctly said that he means 3/4 of the USA.

yes, 3/4. We all know Democrats try stuff the ballots, and it’s been caught on tape…

Now it”s worse!! AND NOT ONE MAJOR NEWS OUTLET HAS PICKED IT UP YET.

The communist party has endorsed Kerry!

America… communist… hahahahahahahahahaha!

What will red have to say about that?

I think kerry’s prostate operation removed a little more than previously thought…
Or maybe not, because he always was a Kennedy drooling fan….
JFK Shot
JFK #2—— not yet.

Posted by: Fat Guy at March 17, 2004 03:02 AM

yikes, fat guy, the conclusion was a little over the top for me.

Posted by: wafflestomper at March 17, 2004 11:08 AM

FatGuy Kerry is doing a splendid enough job shooting himself in both of his (Left) feet without your mention of someone else doing it… I’ll leave it at that.

After the way John Kerry treated Cedge Brown during a town hall meeting? Give me a break.

My first impression of what John Kerry said was that he was referring to ‘Republicans, Tens of millions of voters.” If my interpretation is wrong so be it. But I point my finger towards Kerry telling Cedge Brown, “Who did you vote for? Who did you vote for? Answer my qurestion. Thank you”

Some fu-kin’ monkey said, “These guys are the most crooked, you know, lying group of people I’ve ever seen.”

NEWS FLASH! Kerry, under pressure, admits he was talking about his own speech writers and campaign manager.
