| AFL-CIO Endorses Kerry

The time has come to unite behind one man, one leader, one candidate,” AFL-CIO President John Sweeney said, calling Kerry a friend of the working man.

The union has 13 million members.

It’s hypocritical for the AFL-CIO to endorse Kerry when the Union opposes free trade and NAFTA and Kerry supports both.

I was especially amused by Teamsters President James P. Hoffa who said the “Teamsters can waver on the trade issue for a candidate with a total package who can win in November.”

Hoffa’s Teamsters originally supported Gephardt.

Dan,
How can it be hipocritical for Kerry to be supported by the AFL-CIO? Don’t forget he is for or against whatever you want him to be.

Of course Kerry is a friend of the working man. He’s got a couple of them tied up out back in the shed. Likes to take ‘em to society parties, polo matches, yacht races - you know, show ‘em off.

And he’s imperially slim.

Yea, these dems are really in touch with the working man.

And thats not there regular homes.

These Politicians ( the Democrats ) must have a good chuckle everytime they get together, about how stupid you straight ticket working men & women are. They have your undivided lifelong support. And all they have to do, when they time & time again fail to protect your interests, is blame it on those Rich, Mean Republicans.

When will you people see the light.

Im not saying the Republicans are any better, at least they can be honest about looking after your employers intrest, over yours.

But hey People, look around, the party that you have kicked in the teeth forever, is pretty much in Universal Power. And you have no real influence with them, because you have not historically been smart enough to play the Dems and Republican off against each other. When was the last time your so called leaders even offered a carrot to the winning party. To the victors go the spoils. Keep giving the party in power no reason to give a shit about you.

My wife has an excellent idea. Whoever is elected President, should be paid Union Scale, drive a 1984 pickup, and personally perform the maintenance chores on , our, white house.

Now that would assure someone who can really relate to the working man.
