| Bush 48% Kerry 43%

Kerry lost six full points to Bush in 24 hours.

Today’s reading is the largest lead for either candidate since John Kerry became the Democrat’s front-runner. For most of February, the two candidates have been essentially even. Three days ago, Kerry assumed a modest lead that now appears to be statistical noise.

What the hell is this garbage?

Gimme some #’s from Gallup or Newsweek or Zogby.

Rasmussen poll? WTF?

This looks like an initiative to put lipstick on a pig. Last I checked Bush was still playing the rope a dope with Kerry. Let the beatings continue until morale improves :) A.B.B in 2004. At this point I’d vote for Sharpton, hell even GB #1 is better than his retarded son.

I have trouble taking seriously anybody who would vote for Sharpton for anything.

Dave T,

That is funny AND so true.

What was that book “The Branding of America?”

Actually, any poll at this time is as big a joke as a Sharpton voter.

Well, not that bad.

Note “what2” How about Harris polling?
This is what Polls meant in Jan 1999:

“Doubts about the president’s popularity are also raised by replies to another question. When asked, “if President Clinton was able to run for President again in the year 2000,” most people (56%) say they would vote against him and only 35% say they would vote to re-elect him. Of course, this is a strictly hypothetical question but it suggests that the president’s support is not very deep or strong.” (http://www.harrisinteractive.com/harris_poll/index.asp?PID=60)

OR maybe these numbers:
“Perhaps the easiest way to get some perspective on Bush’s job approval, however, is to compare his numbers to President Bill Clinton’s during roughly the same time frame — the first 32 months in office. Using Bush’s job approval numbers in major media surveys for just August, we find he averaged a 56 percent approve/38 percent disapprove. Contrast those numbers with Clinton’s in August 1995, his third year in office, and we see Clinton’s job approval average was 46 percent approve/43 percent disapprove.”

From the Washington Times:

President Bush signed a prescription-drug act two months ago that is actually hurting his popularity instead of boosting support from the elderly as intended. A Gallup survey found that public disapproval of Mr. Bush’s handling of health care has increased 13 percentage points since last year.

Yup. And I suppose a Socialized Medicine program is going to pick up the medical costs for all of those new ‘Unions’ we have come down the track. Sounds like a freakin’ TrainWreck to me.

Republicans need to learn that acting like Democrats will NOT, in fact, garner them any extra popularity. I’ve seen this happen time and time again.
