Kerry | Kerry Maintains Big Lead in Michigan Tracking Poll

Tracking polls released Thursday showed Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry stretching his already sizable lead in Michigan.

An EPIC/MRA poll of 409 people saying they planned to vote in Saturday’s Democratic caucuses showed Kerry supported by 62 percent. Former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean was second with 13 percent, followed by North Carolina Sen. John Edwards with 11 percent …

A Mitchell Research & Communications poll conducted Tuesday through Thursday for The Detroit News showed Kerry gaining the support of 52 percent of 450 likely caucus participants. The Massachusetts senator’s closest competitors - Dean and Edwards - in single digits, with 9 percent and 8 percent, respectively.
