| Dean: If I Lose Wisconsin, The Race Is Over

Former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean, who is also formerly the Democratic presidential frontrunner, has just sent out this email to supporters, laying it on the line for the Feb. 17 Wisconsin primary:

Dear Supporter,

The entire race has come down to this: we must win Wisconsin.

We must launch our new television advertisement on Monday in the major markets in Wisconsin. To do that, I need your help to raise $700,000 by Sunday. Please contribute $50 today so that we can reserve the air time…

We will get a boost this weekend in Washington, Michigan and Maine, but our true test will be the Wisconsin primary. A win there will carry us to the big states of March 2-and narrow the field to two candidates. Anything less will put us out of this race.

All that you have worked for these past months is on the line on a single day, in a single state. We have come so far to change our political process and restore our democracy-we can’t stop now. Your $50 contribution will allow us to get out our message onto the airwaves, and win Wisconsin…

Thank you,

Governor Howard Dean, M.D.

Interesting!

I hope he wins Wisconsin and chews
up John Kerry in the process.

However, I DO NOT believe he is at
all qualified to be President.

Anyone have any current projections for the Wisconsin primary?

But a poll conducted by the University of Wisconsin Survey Center showed Dean has a lot of ground to cover if he plans on winning there.

The Badger Poll, released Thursday, showed Kerry with 35 percent of the vote and retired Gen. Wesley Clark in a distant second with 11 percent. Edwards was next with 9 percent, while Dean and Sen. Joe Lieberman were tied for fourth with 8 percent. Lieberman dropped out of the race after a poor showing in Tuesday’s seven state contests.
