| Very close for third; Clark now leads narrowly
From CNN, with 56% reporting: Clark 13,736, Edwards 13,665. Edwards on Larry King Live now. “I think it’s very encouraging. It’s remarkable what’s happened over the last few weeks … I was 20 points behind General Clark just two weeks ago.” Acknowledges South Carolina is a must-win; says he also hopes to win Oklahoma. “This process is going to go on a while. … This is a long-term campaign, and I intend to be the nominee. … I’m not interested in being vice president. Can’t see either Edwards or Clark dropping out now. Lieberman— yes. As soon as Gore stuck a knife in his back with his covert Dean endorsement, Lieberman was through. Edwards or Clark for VP?
