| Dean: Kerry is Playing Dirty
Democratic hopeful Howard Dean said today that rival John Kerry - the leader in the New Hampshire polls thus far - is playing dirty tricks on him. Dean, speaking at a town hall meeting in Nashua, said today: “In terms of the dirty tricks, I think we are seeing some of those in the primaries. You get used to it,” he said. “It’s not nice, it’s not good for the democracy, but people do them.” He then went on to blast Kerry for things he has said about Dean in the past few days: “John Kerry has gone out of his way to say how inexperienced I am in foreign policy. Let’s talk about this. In 1991, I supported (former President) George Bush the first because one of our allies had been attacked, there were Iraqi troops on the ground in Kuwait setting fire to oil wells, an environmental disaster, and John Kerry voted against the war.” Isn’t politics fun? “…handing out all this misinformation about Saddam had something to do with AlQaeda?” Who says it’s misinformation? I realize that anytime a possible Al Qaeda/Iraq link surfaces, the press ignores it and the anti-war crowd attacks it. Wouldn’t President Dean be the least bit interested in determining whether such links existed? I know his supporters wouldn’t. Posted by: popd at January 26, 2004 08:35 PM So Dr. Dean support the first Gulf War because “there were Iraqi troops on the ground in Kuwait setting fire to oil wells, an environmental disaster”. Sorry Doctor, the fires were set after the war started, not before. If we had not attacked Iraq there would of been no oil fires. You’re an idiot and a liar.
