2004 US Presidential Election
January 22, 2004
| Ready, Set, Debate
The Democrats will meet Thursday night for a nationally televised debate that strategists for the major contenders see as one of the most critical encounters yet in the battle for the nomination, one likely to shape attitudes in an electorate that continues to shift allegiances by the day. If you’re handicapping, Edwards may be a good first choice, according to Rich Lowry (Editor of the National Review): The debate is sponsored by Fox News Channel and scheduled to air at 8 p.m. EST. When the Fox News panelist had to introduce his colleagues, he looked almost ready to choke. Posted by: Catfish N. Cod at January 22, 2004 08:09 PM Well, I would too if I had to introduce Peter the Canadian Jennings. That man is losing his audience by the day, and Fox is gaining by the day; so I think you might wanna change you attitude. Besides, when Peter is canned by Disney, Fox has a position to keep Laurie Due’s shoes shined….(welcome back to Montreal sui massieur Jennings…free generics for you babe!)
