The short prediction: Kerry wins in Iowa, but Edwards gets the biggest boost.
Yup. 100% correct.

Most underreported story, the collapse of labor. Edwards not only came in second but he had the weakest organization in a state where organization is supposed to be key and he still beat out not only both labor backed candidates but also the sum of their votes.

The only unions that are going to have any clout in future elections is going to be government workers’ unions. Unfortunately, President Bush seems ready to increase their membership with a myriad of new government programs and spending.

I disagree—how could a boost be boostier than the one Kerry just got in Iowa?? He was all but written off until a week ago, and now he goes into his home territory kicking tush. I predict (and you heard it here first) that Edwards won’t even place second in New Hampshire, and that South Carolina will be the only state he wins.
