| Dean's Slide In N.H. Enters Day 10
Howard Dean, the former Vermont governor and Democratic presidential frontrunner, is losing support in his neighboring state of New Hampshire at the rate of two percent a day. According to today's updated New Hampshire Democratic primary tracking poll, put out by the American Research Group, Dean's support is now 32 percent, compared to 22 percent polled by retired Gen. Wesley Clark. The most recent numbers reflect support of likely Democratic voters questioned between Jan. 11 and Jan. 13. Here's how Dean's decline is portrayed by the ARG numbers, in percentage of those saying they were likely to vote for him in the Jan. 27 New Hampshire primary: Jan. 2-4 - 39% The steepest drop seems to have been following Sunday's Democratic candidates debate in Iowa, in which Dean was confronted aggressively on his minority hiring practices by Rev. Al Sharpton. (Cross-posted at Late Final.) Posted by latefinal at January 14, 2004 12:47 PM | TrackBack Comments
With all the other candidates pointing out his short comings it was only a matter of time. Posted by: Brian at January 14, 2004 03:29 PM He’s screwed now - the Hollywood Elites are stumping for him… Posted by: CERDIP at January 14, 2004 04:45 PM … and that’s a bad thing, btw- cuz other than Kerry, Dean is most likely to lose against Bush in a big way. Posted by: CERDIP at January 14, 2004 04:46 PM If Dean doesn’t get the nomination, perhaps his wackos will take their marbles and go home. Posted by: Frank at January 14, 2004 07:57 PM Post a comment
