Bush | Bush In 30 Seconds
MoveOn.org is holding a contest for the best commercial bashing George W. Bush. The finalists can be viewed here. Guess who is doing the judging? (Hint: he likes distorting reality) (link via VodkaPundit) Posted by Mike Van Winkle at January 7, 2004 07:26 AM | TrackBack Comments
Much as I don’t like having the President of the United States compared to Hitler, this is one of the few cases where the First Amendment really does apply. Too many times, the right of free speech is used to justify lible or slander, abuse or harassment, or outright deception, speech which falls totally outside Constitutional protection. In this case though, as long as they can refrain from making up “facts”, they have the right to express their views, one of the fundamental elements that makes this country what it is today. (Hint: he likes distorting reality) President Bush is judging these himself? Posted by: Billy at January 8, 2004 01:48 AM Whatever; Treason is treason. However, it’s interesting that while a bunch of people are devoting their lives to denegrating GWB, my own observation has been that of all the Presidents in my lifetime, he is the first one to fulfill ALL of his campaign promises. Not at the same time of course, which would be impossible, but as we go along, he seems to be getting around to each of the things he said he would do. Hell, even his senior prescription drug plan has received the endorsement of AARP—— that last guy in the White House, old what’s his name with the oral intern program, despite the usual bullshit dem promises, never got off the ground with such a plan.
