Bush | God has Spoken; Bush Wins
Pat Robertson has announced that God told him that Bush will win in November. No more punditry necessary ... ? (link via Drudge) Posted by Mike Van Winkle at January 3, 2004 10:31 AM | TrackBack Comments
As a fellow Christian conservative, I do wish Pat Robertson would stop saying this sort of stuff. All the same, I hope he’s right. Posted by: Curt at January 3, 2004 01:54 PM I heard that Pat thinks God has endorsed Bush for 2004 on Faux news of all places, talk radio of course. I shouted at my radio that there is better news out there to report, but why is this news? I predictied that God Himself would endorse Bush without Pat Rodertson, but we all know why this os reported, because of that old boogeyman, the Religious Right and, “My Gawd, the damn Christians are going to roast our backsliding secular asses collectively and Gawd is comming and Boy Is He Pissed.” Can’t the liberal press think of something other than all christians are evil? They have been saying this since 1962, isnt it time that we just declare their party dead and be done with it? Come on everybody, parties over, get out of the pool and get back on the short bus! Posted by: Sunami at January 3, 2004 02:21 PM Didn’t God give us free will. Now Pat Robertson is saying that God controls U.S. elections. Posted by: Dream at January 3, 2004 02:42 PM Speaking as a Christian, I wish Pat Robertson was playing for the opposition. The media zeros in on him because he fulfills their every dream. Rightwing religious crank - isn’t that how they ALL are? No. Pat - shut up and pray. Posted by: torpedo_eight at January 3, 2004 03:21 PM Apparently,God waited for Saddam to be caught before passing this message to his special friend,Pat Robertson. And Qaddafi had been yearning to voluntarily give up his WMD programs,he just chose a funny moment to do so. Posted by: Jussi Hämäläinen at January 3, 2004 07:05 PM GOD SAVE PAT ROBERTSON! LOL. Shut up and Vote. Geeesh. Oh I forgot. Amen. Posted by: Cap'n SPIN at January 3, 2004 07:23 PM I reallly think that it is very foolish, theologically speaking, for Pat Robertson to just assume that since Bush is righteous, God will help him win the election. God tests his faithful through suffering as well. Maybe Bush’s soul is better served by electoral defeat? God tests his people too, does he not? Maybe a dose of Dean is what it would take to get this country right with the Lord. Well, most of the country. I’m still goin’ to hell. Posted by: Gabriel Hanna at January 4, 2004 05:44 AM Gabriel, Even if we’re all going to hell, I’d still prefer that Howard not drive usl there. Posted by: torpedo_eight at January 4, 2004 11:10 AM Well, folks, God restored to Job all he had lost after suffering evil. SO it just makes sense that after suffering two terms of Clinton, we should be blessed with two terms of Dubya. Posted by: GDubya at January 5, 2004 03:15 PM I wonder if God told Pat whether or not the Eagles will cover this weekend vs. Green Bay? Now that would be useful information! All kidding aside, Robertson is exactly the type of right-wing, religious fanatic that “W” must eventually answer too. A scary thought indeed if the Christian Kreskin is correct in his election visions. Posted by: mnbhoy at January 6, 2004 02:18 PM Luckily, GWB doesn’t HAVE to answer to Pat Robertson. Posted by: Cap'n SPIN at January 6, 2004 08:10 PM So Capn’SPIN, you don’t think GWB has to address the desires of the religious masses (no pun intended) that will probably get him elected? Pat Robertson would say that God hasn’t blessed you with any intelligence if you truly believe that! Posted by: mnbhoy at January 6, 2004 10:50 PM Post a comment
