| Gallup Watch: Issues 2004
Terrorism is the top issue on everyone's mind heading into the 2004 presidential election, followed by education and the war in Iraq, according to the most recent numbers collected by Gallup. "The economy" was ranked as the fourth most important issue, the survey found:
Election day is ten and a half months away, but the issues are breaking in a way to make it a very interesting campaign season. (Cross-posted at Late Final.) Posted by latefinal at December 29, 2003 05:25 PM | TrackBack Comments
The economy fell as an issue below terrorism during the 2002 election. And the Republicans produced a miracle and won mightily over the wackos.. err I mean liberals. In my opinion… The lower the economy is ranked on people’s minds and concerns… the greater the chance George W. Bush will win the presidency. Another reason I believe this to be true is that Howard Dean is ‘definitely’ going to spend a lot more time attacking the economy than discussing foreign policy. Howard Dean knows that he is incredibly weak in foreign policy issues… His only strength are domestic issues. So…. Good news! Posted by: Jeff MacMillan at December 29, 2003 11:48 PM Ha! Was the Muskie race ‘interesting?’ Dukakis? Heck, even Goldwater knew what it meant to campaign against the wants and desires of the public at large. I’m even willing to bet that Dean won’t be a front runner. The democrats aren’t handing themselves over to short, Nepolionic men, like Dean. Bill Clinton would have him killed, first.
