Kerry | Kerry goes Presidential: uses f*** word.

December 6, 2003 -- Struggling 2004 Democratic wannabe John Kerry fires an X-rated attack at President Bush over Iraq and uses the f-word - highly unusual language for a presidential contender - in a stunning new interview with Rolling Stone magazine.

Sen. Kerry (Mass.) used the undeleted expletive to express his frustration and anger over how the Iraq issue has hurt him because he voted for the war resolution while Democratic front-runner Howard Dean has soared by opposing it.

"I voted for what I thought was best for the country. Did I expect Howard Dean to go off to the left and say, 'I'm against everything'? Sure. Did I expect George Bush to f - - - it up as badly as he did? I don't think anybody did," Kerry told the youth-oriented magazine.

Brookings Institution presidential scholar Stephen Hess said he can't recall another candidate attacking a president with X-rated language in a public interview.

"It's so unnecessary," Hess said. "In a way it's a kind of pandering [by Kerry] to a group he sees as hip . . . I think John Kerry is going to regret saying this."

* * *

Ok. Kerry's toast. Dean's next. Game over.

Could Kerry be any more out of touch? Dropping the F-bomb because he’s talking to a Rolling Stone reporter? LOL. Reminds me of when they all tried to out-Spanish each other at the New Mexico debate.

Posted by: abrtfl at December 7, 2003 01:03 AM

Kerry didn’t actually refer directly to Bush. He only referred to him as ‘the man’ or ‘the suit’.

Far out. I’m getting a big day-glo poster of Kerry for my crash pad. Smash the state, man!!!

As Leonard Bernstein said (some time ago), “I dig absolutely.”

So is he going to get a bike, or will lava lamps be enough for his new rebel image?

Posted by: Limpet at December 7, 2003 08:39 AM

I see it now…..

John Kerry…The Boss…the Paladium..singing Born to be Wild….That’s cool. can you dig it?

Posted by: alaskasoldier at December 7, 2003 10:20 PM

Kerry is pretty much done…Unless he thinks he is getting a VP slot he should stop embarassing himself…

The Dems want someone with fire in the belly and they will get it this year.

I think Dean v. Bush on a national debate would show how weak of an intellectual Bush truly is. I would watch it on pay per view if I had to…..

Posted by: what2 at December 8, 2003 01:08 AM

what2,

that is what they said before W trounced Gore three times.

Dean intellectual? How is the Soviet Union doing today?

Posted by: jones at December 8, 2003 06:50 AM

George McGovern had the fire in his belly.

Limpet said, “So is he going to get a bike,”

Ok…as long as it’s a rice burner. No H-Ds for Kerry. He’d get his a== whipped if he showed up on one. Most HD riders “fought for their country”, they didn’t ‘fight to undermine it”.

I expect to hear the f word from people like myself, but only when addressing liberal socialist, anti-American, Bush hating, troop undermining, terrorist supporting, pigs……..I’m not running for office. I mean it would be kinda cool if Bush flipped off the UN and said, “Fu-k you” (which he would never do because he is too much of a gentleman). You would never hear him say that to put down a political opponent. He has a lot more class than that. Kerry has just shown that he plays like any other left wing fool…..they try to appeal to the lowest common denominator, because they are the only ones that believe their spewage. Just like the Islamic radicals…..the leaders find their followers in poor, young populaces.

Kerry Reveals What Middle Initial Stands For

http://www.jewishworldreview.com | In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Democrat presidential candidate Senator John F. Kerry finally revealed what his middle initial signifies.

Long a matter of speculation among political pundits, the initial seemed to suggest a connection with John F. Kennedy.

The “F” in Kennedy’s name stood for Fitzgerald, but in the upcoming Rolling Stone issue Mr. Kerry uses a different “F” word.

Pronunciation of the middle name is still unclear since, in most newspaper reports, it consists mostly of hyphens.

The name was apparently passed down through the family, since after the Senator revealed it, he said, “Pardon my French.”

Posted by: johnnymozart at December 8, 2003 06:02 PM

Soviet Union huh,

Dean will give GWB such an ass whooping in a national debate place bets now on how much drool George will leave on the podium…

As far as gaffes, I know for a fact that your stutterer in chief has way more than Dean. Let us place some food on your family shall we? How about engage in a little contest to see who can pull the most stupid quotes…. Wouldn’t take me long to best you by about 10 orders of magnitude…

People criticize Dean for foreign policy experience like Bush had a shred of it before 2000. Once again, this is the double standard of partisanship…..

johnnymozart said, “The name was apparently passed down through the family, since after the Senator revealed it, he said, “Pardon my French.” “

Which would also explain why he is a liberal socialist, anti-American, Bush hating, troop undermining, pig. He’s just carrying on the french tradition.(I don’t mean to catagorize all French….some are very decent people…true friends. Kerry just represents the worst of the french)

Here we go with the anti-american chants again. You will never catch me calling any of you or chimp-boy Bush anti-american. Shrub is an idiot yes…but Anti-American no…

Anti-American is among the weakest of arguments…

“You will never catch me calling any of you or chimp-boy Bush anti-american”

That’s because we’re not.

Posted by: what3 at December 8, 2003 07:36 PM

Dear what 2, Hey butt breath, none of us have referred to you as anti-American. We are well above name-calling, rug muncher, as you are yourself.

Thanks for keeping the level of name-calling at the highest levels, pipe-for-brains.

Way to finesse a point.

“your stutterer ” Posted by: what2 at December 8, 2003 06:15 PM

So in your brilliant oinion that is a sing of mental inferiority?

Go join Kerry in the museum of hoof in mouth disease you have earned it.

I;;ll take content over form any day, I do notice how Democratic Candiates give great oratory while selling the nation down the road for political gain,

Very eloquent thery are, Don’t stutter. You can keep them

t8,

maybe you havent used the anti-american line but plenty others on this blog have.

Dan,

You are an idiot. Yes stuttering is a sign of idiocy. Get a clue. I dont look for stutters in a President. The Office is far too high for that tomfoolery….

Real Presidents know how to construct a god damn basic sentence….

Is saying Soviet Union instead of Russia really a gaff? I dont think so. I’m not saying he doesnt actually know the Soviets dont exist anymore, but it certainly showcases just how comfortable he is speaking on foriegn policy issues. I wouldnt be so sure about those debates. GWB if nothing else is close personal friends with Tony Blair, has a strong relationship with Vladmir Putin, has addresed the United Nations, has spoken to most world leaders, and say what you want he has a strong grasp of geopolitical wrangling thanks to the last 2 years of Euro-mischief.
On the other hand, Howard Dean was governor of Vermont.

What2 whined, “Here we go with the anti-american chants again.”

What do you mean, “again”. The whining friggin’ liberals expose their hatred for this country daily.

What2 whined, ” You will never catch me calling any of you or chimp-boy Bush anti-american.”

Because that would be incorrect. You would make a bigger fool of yourself. We can use the terms because they are TRUE…...buttwipe.

What2 whined, ” Shrub is an idiot yes…but Anti-American no…”

Uhhhh…..idiot? Isn’t that like the kettle calling a genious a kettle???? To call him anti American….would be something that would come from a last ditch effort by the libs….kinda like slashing that last vein in their wrists.

What2 whined, “Anti-American is among the weakest of arguments…”

That’s because it isn’t an ‘argument’………..Just a stated fact.

I see this morning that Algore has speeded up his decision on who he will support in the upcoming election……Dean. The kiss of death to the other democrat runners. Could that be because of Kerry’s mouth?? Hmmmmmm…….maybe Kerry ” fu-ked up ” !

Created his own “Quagmire>”

Ha ha ha ha ha ha LMAO

Posted by: Jeff B at December 9, 2003 09:26 AM

Yes Jeff, and I always have supported Kerry.
Geezus..yes Kerry is an idiot too…

Yes, calling me anti-american is a fact! Total hot air you are blowing bud.

You are typical arrogant American pork! Always thinking you are right and supporting your assertions with hot air. If you want GWB idiot quotes I can surely get them for you….

Mark, the only one again who has stated actual arguments… Yes Bush has more foreign policy experience, however as president that comes with the territory. I tend to disagree with you..on the U.N. talks. His talks with the U.N. were pretty useless and he did not really fire anyone up internationally. Yes he is friends with the U.K. thank god he did not drop the ball so to lose even the strongest of alliances…

Try to criticize Dean on who he is and not discredit him because he comes from Vermont.

I find it fascinating that the right cannot make up their mind…is this Dean character a rich boy from the city or a yokel from Vermont?

Posted by: what2 at December 9, 2003 11:22 AM

This forum is dead. How about posting articles on some newer developments? Gore endorsed Dean y’know.

Does anyone else find it ironic that what2’s message [that he considers stuttering a sign of idiocy] is there twice?

Adhere to System Appearance. Does your application use all the sweetly colored buttons, delightfully shaded windows, and all the other “bells and whistles?”

Posted by: Petronella at January 24, 2004 01:39 AM

Okay, I just told you what Apple wants you to look out for with window positions, but in the real world, not everyone uses the hiding feature of the Dock, and it is unrealistic to be able to predict where each user will place their Dock at any given day or how large they will have it. However, you can build a feature into your application that allows spacing for the Finder. You can give users the option of where to position their windows and what area of the screen not to cross. I know that BBEdit provides me with this feature, and I wish more developers gave me more control over my windows.

Posted by: Anne at January 24, 2004 01:39 AM

But limit your animations to whatever is required to communicate the necessary information. Avoid annoying animations that discourage ease of use. Ask yourself, “What do I need to show the user, and what is the cleanest way possible to achieve that?” A good example is the Mail application for Mac OS X. Whenever a new message arrives, the Dock icon changes appearance to indicate a changed state.

Posted by: Osmund at January 24, 2004 01:40 AM

Whether native or not, this is obviously one of the first steps on your way to OS X. Keep in mind that often, the functionality of your code has a lot to do with how your interface is designed. How many developers have come up with great functional ideas from working with their interface or looking at their competitors’? Start working on your Aqua compliance from day one. Don’t wait until the last minute.
