Kucinich | Kucinich Supports Universal Health Care, Smaller Defense Budget

And two chickens in every pot! Kucinich is stumping in Maine on a platform of universal healthcare and defence cuts. Read the local coverage at Maine's Press Herald. Noteable for you policy wonks:

He said he supports a single-payer universal health care system that would provide coverage for various procedures, such as alternative medicines, vision care and long-term health ...

... He said he would cut the Pentagon's budget by 15 percent and ask Congress to repeal the Patriot Act.

Does this guy even get it? Donations to Kucinich’s campaign should be classified as strictly charity giving and be eligible for a tax credit. I know, I know, people who donate to Kucinich probably overpay their taxes on purpose. I’d like to see who’d win in a Kucinich-Larouche head-to-head election (turnout probably ~11 people).

Why is Dennis in the race, along with other worms such as Mosely-Braun ? To make money. Unspent campaign funds, including our matching tax dollars, are not returnable! To generate funds from pinheads, therefore, one must appeal to them, generate enough dough to qualify for Federal matching.

I was about to say you’d have to be out of your mind to give Kucinich money……but then I realized - that’s his base.

Maybe Dennis is here to make Dean look more centrist?

The only reason the little trol is running for president is because (by his own admission) he is a failed congressman. This whole “campaign” is nothing more than a public relations pitch to enhance his name among the politically powerful. His modus operandi is obvious; focus on and attract those people who are so far out in left field (beyond the foul poll) so as to offer a corner of the political market to whichever democrat gets the nomination. Thankfully, in his desperate attempt to enhance his name nationally, he has diminished it locally and after the November 2004 congressional election his political career will have finally come to an end.

Why don’t any of you guys look at the facts, instead of stepping all over the democrats? Anyone can come up with a good insult, but looking at the truth takes more of an effort. Kucinich knows what he is talking about. I am suggesting that kucinich is far more advanced than our society is willing to admit. To back up my statement I refer to his past actions. In the 1970’s Kucinich said no to the corperate power company. It did it because he knew that it was the right thing to do. He was was driven out of office because of it. But years later he was proved right. He saved the people hundreds of millions of dollars. Those are the facts as I presented them to you. Since then Kucinich has worked for years trying to defend the peoples rights. Don’t poor people deserve the same rights as rich?
How can you support your claime that Dennis is only doing it for the money, when he is not accepting any money from corperations. Isn’t that a contridiction? Think about the facts of the case before you start making judgements.
