What’s this dude talking about?
“Let’s take America back.”
That’s exactly what we did in 2000! Where’s he been?

hahahaha, you’re right, Wolf. Where’s this liberal doomsayer been? We’ve finally taken our country back from the libs and Dems and will keep it in 2004. President George Bush is the right man for the job.

From San Antonio —- I TOTALLY AGREE.

Down with all DEMONS.

Actually, there may even be a decent
Democrat somewhere, but they have
very strange positions, so I doubt it.

By the way, I am an Independent! I
am also a Combat veteran and will
never support any Demon for any
political office.

I am the Democrats worst enemy: I was so totally pro-Gore in 2000 and even pro-Dem for one year after September 11th.

But their luke warm interest in the Iraq Resoluton last October sealed their fate with me permanently. And the reaction of Terri McAwful to the 2002 elections: that it had been a mistake to back Bush on Iraq, only made me want to campaign and write books and websites to make sure that NO democrat ever gets elected anywhere again this decade.

And remember: I was one of them!

If anyone else feels similarly to John Peterson, know that you are not “switching sides.” Your position (most likely) is the same as its always been; it is the placement of the borders that has moved, not you.

And yes, I’ve met people who worry about this kind of thing.

I’ve posted some commentary on Dean and his Texas strategy in the Op/Ed section.

I vote for the best person.
I try to stay in the middle. Too far right and everthing gets crazy, too far left and everything gets stupid.

gijoe! Did you pull that advice outta your canteen or your ‘mess’ kit? Certainly not your helmet!

Oh, there are good Dems out there, Zell Miller for instance (though he’s stepping down in 2004). It’s just they’re few and far between of late, even Joe Lieberman is getting pretty wishy-washy again, must be something he comes down with everytime he’s on the campaign trail. The leftist seem to have control of the Democratic Party in a way that hasn’t been seen since the McGovern debacle in 1972 and is reminiscent of their rhetoric about the Religious Right and the Republican Party. Perhaps if they get stomped in a truly historic fashion in 2004 they’ll return to this reality.

As for extremist views. Sometimes the extremists are right (or left :) and no compromise is possible or desirable. I’ve certainly no desire to compromise with or accomodate our nation’s enemies.

“Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice. Moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue.” — Barry Goldwater (1964 Presidential Campaign)
&
“To disagree, one doesn’t have to be disagreable.”
&
“Hubert Humphrey talks so fast that listening to him is like trying to read Playboy magazine with your wife turning the pages.” :)
