2004 US Presidential Election
July 20, 2003
Poll Shows Edwards Behind Bush In N.C.
Not, I am certain, what the Edwards camp hopes to hear ... their candidate trailing the President in the candidate's home state. Edwards is, however, gaining, and not losing, ground. Read the details in the Shelby Star (NC): Bush would beat Edwards 54 percent to 40 percent in North Carolina if the general election were today, according to a telephone poll of 600 likely voters conducted by Research 2000 of Rockville, Md., for The News & Observer of Raleigh. ..what`a surprise………….NOT!! Posted by: Rob..in NC at July 21, 2003 04:34 PM Bill Clinton, was impeached for lying to a grand jury and the nation, his job approval rating still hovered at 62%, but Bush’s approval, which hovered in the mid-80s after the Iraqi war, has tumbled to 53% in the latest Zogby poll. Also before 9-11 his approval rating was 44%. This was before the death of the sons so will be interesting to see what happens next month in the polls.
