Missing Democrat Candidates an "Affront to NAACP"
The NAACP's top leadership lashed out Saturday at several of the major Democratic candidates for president, calling their intention to skip Monday's candidate forum an ''affront'' to the nation's oldest civil rights organization. Posted by Michele at July 13, 2003 10:43 PM | TrackBack Comments
“If you’re afraid to appear against Al Sharpton, maybe you should be running for another office.” Posted by: Seth at July 13, 2003 11:57 PM I’m not surprised. For some years I have been puzzled by the ethnic Black Americans supporting the Democrat party when the Democrats only pay lip service to equality or being “color blind”. The NAACP would never endorse George Bush and yet he has placed more Americans of African heritage to positions of responsibility than any Democrat ever did. Oh WELL…………:))) Posted by: Belle at July 14, 2003 04:01 AM Like I’ve said on another thread; The democrats thrive on an imaginary championing of the downtrodden, yet those downtrodden never seem to get out of their underdog status; The dems keep them complacent and preach to the media about their “plight”, but they don’t quite do enough to further their lot- you’re right, Belle, more minority members get ahead under Republicans than under democrats. Posted by: Seth at July 14, 2003 04:13 AM And not even inviting a Republican to speak, that’s not an “affront” to every black in America, to hear all who might help and support them? No, just another chapter in the victem / shakedown manual. Posted by: irabk at July 14, 2003 09:08 AM It’s okay for the NAACP to snub white republicans, but it’s not alright for white dems to snub the NAACP. Only in their PC free-for-all logic does any of this make sense. My personal favorite: you can’t possibly be a racist if you’re not in “power”, which posits that’s impossible for those in minority positions to be guilty of race hatred. Right. Last time I looked, the Aryan Brotherhood wasn’t in power and boy, can those guys hate. Woody Allen was right, you can years without sex, but you can’t go a day without rationalization. Especially if you’re the NAACP. Posted by: torpedo_eight at July 14, 2003 01:28 PM Buy
canadian pharmacies Posted by: canadian pharmacy at December 17, 2003 09:47 AM Okay, I just told you what Apple wants you to look out for with window positions, but in the real world, not everyone uses the hiding feature of the Dock, and it is unrealistic to be able to predict where each user will place their Dock at any given day or how large they will have it. However, you can build a feature into your application that allows spacing for the Finder. You can give users the option of where to position their windows and what area of the screen not to cross. I know that BBEdit provides me with this feature, and I wish more developers gave me more control over my windows. Posted by: Archilai at January 24, 2004 06:38 AM At WWDC, I listened to Apple representatives make some excellent points about taking the time to build a 100%-compliant Aqua application, and I think all developers need to look beyond the code and listen to what the folks at Apple have to say Posted by: Sampson at January 24, 2004 06:42 AM This topic is one we will tackle later in this article, but it refers to making sure that your application and the dock aren’t fighting it out for supremacy of the screen.
